A graduate in Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 1982 at the Loyola University of Chicago, Dr. Richard Oravec graduated in 1991 from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and in 1994 from the University of Illinois, Ravenswood Hospital specializing in Family Medicine. Dr. Oravec joined Lim-Keith Multispecialty Medical Clinic, Inc. in September of 2000. |
|
He is board certified by
the American Academy of Family Practice since 1994 and a member of good
standing with the American Medical Association.
|
In the practice of healing
the body, Dr. Oravec became interested in energy medicine. He trained with
The Light Body School of the Four Winds Society using the traditional
framework that respects the teachings of the Q’Ero Indians. After 3
years of training in energy medicine Dr. Oravec is now a “Shaman” or a
practitioner of energy medicine.
|
When Dr. Oravec joined
Lim-Keith Multispecialty Medical Clinic, Inc., in September 2000, Dr. “O”, as he is fondly called
by the staff and patients, brought with him a wholistic approach to
treating patients. “Wholistic”
means a mixture of Western Medicine (allopathic) and non-traditional
medicine such as energy medicine, meditation, yoga and diet. Dr. “O”
is constantly studying indigenous healing techniques and practices from
other parts of the world.
|
Energy Medicine or The
Illumination healing process is the foundation for the healing processes
of the Q’Ero Indians of Peru. This
has been practiced for thousands of years and is a very powerful tool for
self-transformation.
|
According to Dr. Oravec,
Energy healing involves the removal of energy intrusions or debris in the
luminous field of energy (“aura”) that surrounds a person. There are seven (7)
“doorways” or chakras. Generally,
only 1 chakra is dealt with in any one session. When a person is sick or
ill, debris in the energy field are cleansed by opening the chakras in the
luminous field, filling the opening with a universal light to assist in the
healing process of the body.
|
Sessions normally last for
an hour. Dependent on how
sensitive one is to energy a subject may feel changes in his or her energy
field or “aura” during a session.
Others will feel nothing but a deep sense of relaxation.
Some will have visual images or memories that come to them during a
session. | |
| Dr. Oravec suggest to have treatments no more than one time a month or in extreme need every 2 weeks, It is wise to do treatments slowly overtime to allow the body ample time to adjust. |
